NEED HELP: How do I use two DSL connections in a single network?

Hi everyone,

I need your help. Before anything else, please think of me as an IDIOT. I hope you will not use complex networking jargon with me. Sure, I'm ambitious because I'm trying something that is beyond me, but with your help, I'm sure I can make things work. Crossing my fingers.

Here goes...

I have three computers at home--2 desktop pcs and 1 notebook. I have one Edimax router with 4 ports. Setup is like this: Modem ==> Router ==> Computers

Before, I only had SmartBro. But for weeks, I've had intermittent internet connection problems. And since my work is mostly online, that was simply unacceptable.

So, I got myself a Bayantel connection. Fast man gud ilang installation and hassle-free, at least in my case, ang application so I got a 1Mbps plan.

Since la ko kabalo unsaon nako pag-use sa SmartBro as a backup connection, I just had to leave it physically disconnected since ok man ang Bayantel so far. And while the Bayantel guys are super nice, they don't seem to know how to help me with my problems. And I haven't heard from the SmartBro guys at all.

I've read a lot about dual-wan, even multi-wan, routers but not only are they super costly, they're quite hard to come by.

I read somewhere here about assigning IPs and gateways, etc., but di man ko kasabot ana so I hope you guys could tell me what to do like you're explaining it to a 5-year old.

Hope you guys can help me. Sorry mods if there exists a similar post but I just need something clearer and easier to follow.

thanks for the input pero before i'll take the route of actually purchasing a dual-wan router, i wanna know if la na ba gyud lain way. mahal sad man gud not to mention pirmi lang way stock ang kasagara computer shops sa cebu.
