nag siga man ang akong battery icon sa dashboard. dli nako makuha nganu nag siga siya, nagbuhat kog mga test both battery and alternator. by the way, new ang akong alternator kay daotan ang karaan.


Using digital multimeter

• Battery voltage when car is not turned on. = 12.7 volts

• Engine at idle with no accessories turned on = 14.52 to 14.63 (vary)

• Engine at 1500rpm with no accessories turned on = 14.65V

• Engine at idle with all accessories turned on = 12.86V - 12.99V (14.15V kung dili mag engage ang magnetic clutch)

• Engine at 1500 rpm with all accessories turned on = 14.10 rpm

Voltage Drop Test

• No load at idle on positive side of battery and alternator = 0.15V
• No load at idle on negative side of battery and alternator = 0.03V

• Full Load at idle on positive side of battery and alternator = 0.24V
• Full load at idle on negative side of battery and alternator = 0.15V

• Full load at 1500RPM on positive side of battery and alternator = 0.35V
• Full load at 1500RPM on negative side of battery and alternator = 0.19V

Your alternator charging system is perfectly OK, one of the wires (assuming a 3 wire alternator) that goes to the dashboard not charging light is either loosing contact with the alternator or the wire itself being cut in the middle with your friendly rats or mice in your area, so go ahead check it out, it`s only one wire that goes to the dashboard that has a culprit, the field coil wire is connected and also the main alternator wire is OK...

yah, that's what i also thought. i've check continuity and naa man pud.. i think mopalit nalang guro kog digital voltmeter attached sa cigarette to monitor my voltage. hahaha
