Bandmates Badly Needed

The bassist and I (Lead Guitarist) need a drummer and a rythm player.

Qualifications for the drummer:

-A bit jazzy
-Must know Double Swings
-Rudiments is not a must but it's a plus

Qualifications for the Rythm:

-Creative in making riffs
-At least knows the pentatonic scale and major scale.
-Knowledge with Music Theory is a plus

Our genre will be alternative jazz or indie rock.

Band influences: U2, Led Zep, Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, The Killers, The Kooks, Franz Ferdinand, Envy On The Coast (If there's a band that you haven't head about look it up on youtube, you might like them. )

i get your point.. but it seems like you are getting paid big time to look for someone with specific skills to be in your band.. i'm in a band and I don't even know how to read notes.. i'm not trying to start an arguement.. just sayin..

my point is, give chance to everyone.. not all pros are good.. for me, it's more like passion and feeling the music..

if you're getting paid for playing then I agree with your requirements. if not, then just let anybody play and ejoy the music. Music is Fun.

I totally get what you mean bro. Music is what we love unconditionally. <3 Probably I just gave the a bad impression because I just want set standards because I just really need examplary musicians so that we can bring out the best music we can and still have fun.

I understand where are you coming from meyn well passion is a bid deal but you're not going to be really good in an instrument if you don't have enough passion. Since passion is intangible then there'd be no way to measure except how good you are.

anddd I don't think they have to be paid just because I set requirements. I don't see the logic there. There are actually musicians there that "might" not be good enough and still get paid or musicians there that's really good but not get paid for how good they are. So yeahh.

Music is fun it is.
