NO CD-ROM DRIVE WHEN USING DOS

fellow istoryans pls. help me!
I was able to purchase a new HDD then by the time na install nako
sa ako OS with DOS, walay drive above C (D,E). but in the BIOS nadetect man ang CD-ROM.maybe settings ra jud cguro ni or naa lacking file sa ako bootable disk. Pasinsya na mga bro dili man gud ko
familiar with computer repair.

format a: /s

and make a file with these filenames in drive a:

autoexec.bat write:

a:\MSCDEX.EXE /d:mscd001
a:\smartdrv /l

config.sys write:

device=a:\himem.sys
DEVICEHIGH=a:\GSCDROM.SYS /D:MSCD001

MSCDEX.EXE
SMARTDRV.EXE
HIMEM.SYS
are found in your windows or windows/commands dir, just copy them to your bootdisk
Note: himem.sys is a hidden file

GSCDROM.SYS
driver for you CD-ROM, I'm sure your CD-ROM comes with this file...just copy them to your bootdisk

CD Rom needs driver for Dos,Â* you have to load the MSCDEX.EXE /d:mscd001 in your autoexec.bat

parehas gud sa diskette kanang dunay win98 system disk. tan-awa iyang config.sys ug autoexec.bat, kinahanglan gyod ug DOS driver para makita ang CDROM drive. nganong mag dos paman? win98 imong i-install sa? dili kadaog ug winxp imong unit? mas nindot ang winxp kay diritso na boot ang cd.

yes.. CD drive needs a driver in DOS... ( i recommend following Creed-x )

you can also make a 98/Me startup disk.
