I wish that I misread the data, this information is ridiculous. According to the study conducted by BSA (Business Software Alliance) 57% of Software users confess to pirating software. From the survey question conducted by BSA "How often do you acquire pirated software or software that is not fully licensed?" it resulted that 5 percent of computer users "always" use pirated software, while 9 percent admitted to using pirated software "most of the time." Another 17 percent said they "occasionally" obtained pirated programs, and still 26 percent more acknowledged they "rarely" acquired pirated software.
The most remarkable about the survey is that most of the participants are “Business Decision Makers” and not just a kid who loves computer games.
Software piracy continues to be a growing epidemic. Studies conducted by BSA also reveals that the global rate at which PC software was installed without proper licensing rose from 42 percent in 2011 to 43 percent in 2013. With a staggering loss of 62.7 billion globally in 2013.
