mag renew na ko this month. good thing naka complete ko ug 45 CPD points (for 3 years) by attending seminars/convention. mao na gyud na need karon para maka renew. sakto, gasto kaayo siya, pero makatabang man ni sa ato profession.

pangwarta ra nang IECEP oi. renew2x ba na gamay au ug rate ang mga ECE dri pinas. Ako pa ninyo padaghan lang mo ug IT certs mas dako pa mo ug ma kwarta kaysa anang IECEP.

Pwerte mahala sa oath taking na igo ra mo print ug papel para sa oath tapos dinner buffet... lapas 1k man 2 sa una kada tao imong imibitar.

agree... but only if you are a practicing ECE professional... other than that, i don't see much of a benefit... i bet my month's salary, more than 50% ECE graduates (licensed or not) are non practicing ECE's...

agree more! hehehe... i have decided dili nalang ko mag renew... my current profession is on Software Applications Services anyway, so mag pursue nalang kog ITIL Intermediate og PMP (Project Management Professional)...

Mao ni isa sa rason mao dli jud maka pasar ang pinas sa ASEAN integration. Wala pay klaro atong goberno kurakot pa jud samotan pa ug dli nindot ug kalidad ang mga eskwelahan dri kumpara sa mga silingan nato.

Are there any significant benefits being a member of IECEP? No offense but it appears that renewal of membership is case to case basis depending on the need of our profession and our job.

Only if you want to practice your profession in the philippines, which is at least pathetic. Better go for international standards.

@M.A.D. I mean, do companies and employers already make this as mandatory or part of their job requirement? PRC license, agree pa ko, but IECEP? It's been a while nga wala ko ka pang apply but if this is the case, IECEP is one influential organization now.

It depends. But most of the time no. But it may be different if it was for government.

nakarenew ko sa PRC ang gipangau kay IECEP id na photocopy raman wala nangau ug good standing. Naa na ako ID. Pag.adto nko sa IECEP kay ila gyud ko g.ingnan na pakuhaon daw CPE kay kailangan sa PRC. But wala ra ngau ang PRC. Pangwarta rana sa IECEP, ila training topics kay wala jud connection sa work.
