Last week, three municipal halls in Cebu has been ransacked. Burglars got away with sums of cash allotted for employees. And today, on Sun.Star news. The town of Pinamungajan was ransacked too. What's happening to the safety and security sa atoang mga lungsod. Unsay may gipangbuhat intawn sa mga Police?

The police should be more aggressive and proactive in fighting crime but moreover, this is a perfect example of why the government should bring back the death penalty and to re-examine all cases that have been dealt with a life imprisonment sentence since the death penalty was not then available. Death penalty can be a deterrent. it's all a matter of implementing the law swiftly yet justly.

Kini mga tawhana nga "wlay kwarta" dili na maka huwat. The odds are in their favor because the penalties are very light.

The string of robberies alone in Cebu should urge all citizens to come to terms with the fact that Criminals are not afraid to go to prison. Prison is but another form of poverty for them. They have little to eat, they have to fend for themselves against gangs and other dangerous elements, and they don't have a comfortable place to sleep in.
