MIGHT BE OFF TOPIC but this is the right place, I think.

Hi Istoryans!

Last January, I had a partner and we joined the IdeaSpace which is a start-up competition. We lost, however, it got us to the TOP 50 out of 600 ideas. My thinking is that we didn't sell the idea enough. I am a digital artist and my partner is a programmer. There was supposed to be a "business minded person" along with us. Our idea is a social-commerce both for web and mobile. I can't tell you much about the idea unless you're fully interested to meetup and discuss.

Next year, we want to join again with the pitch deck and idea, REFINED. Who's interested to join? The maximum members is up to three but it would be great if the team is about ten. We can all work together refining the idea and we all reap the prize if the idea sells and we get the initial investment up to 5 million pesos(that's just from IdeaSpace, imagine if we collect more from other angels to boost the business).

While we're at it, maybe we can have small gigs as a freelance design agency to support us in doing the prototype for the business?

swc2, we joined.. 2 of our ideas nasulod sa top 12.. did lost in the end but the winners are now no where to be found while my start-up idea has now been acquired by a major player in the travel agency and i'm still leading the product dev and expansion.

sw4, we'll be joining again hopefully, with this mobile app we can make a difference

as for social commerce, it's nice... let me know when ang time and venue sa meet-ups.. apil apil lang sa kog brainstorming

Yes mao ni tong recently held competition sa UC Banilad. Was there and pitched an idea that was though for that day only. I was there for the experience and knowledge on how the process works and will try again next year to pitch a more better and refined startup.

I'm willing to join a team but I can't tell if in what department I should be in. I'm good at marketing, has intermediate skills with web development, im a salesperson, a techie guy but not a tech wiz.
