3 months ago, the MPs from the ruling Party refused to open an investigation on the Soma Mines where the accident took place as there has been increasing number of deaths after the mine was privatised.
In Turkey, death of a worker at his work place, is almost something that goes uninvestigated and unpunished. The new rich classes, and their representative the AKP, the ruling party, who are keen on giving a lecture about the religion and morality, will not hesitate to turn a blind eye to the destruction of everything from human lives to the environment when it comes to increasing their profits.
