RESPECT: Lawyers or Doctors.....

.. sorry for the vague title but I have this burning question:

.. who deserves more respect; doctors or lawyers

Respect comes from good character and not from profession. Thus, regardless of being a doctor, lawyer or whatever profession, it won't matter. It boils down to personality.

.. that's what respect is all about. Respect begets respect. but damn, in these two professions, who deserves it better ??

Both are equal. Both serves different purposes.

Someone asked me this once (kasakay nako sa bus) and I answered doctor. Medyo biased ko kay akong nahinumduman si Doogie Howser M.D. Hehe. Pero akong rason kay ang lawyer murang mao may pirmi naa sa newspaper. Hehehe. I thought lawyers were more prone to corruption, but on the other hand kung naay doctor magbinuang, delekado sad kaayo. Anyway, istorya istorya ra to namo. Kung buot huna huna-on, daghan man angay ka respetu-an (o kahadlokan) bisan asa. I came across this very nice piece from the internet; and I couldn't agree more.

Well, i think both. I mean both of them had a sacred duty.. one is to Promote and defend life, the other is to promote liberty, freedom, justice, right, and even the life of the person accused. So, for me, both of these Profession should be accorded the same respect.

But not only that, lawyers "LIE" a lot. . Even they know they're defending a guilty client, mangita gyud ug lusot. But we can't blame them. Panginabuhi man pud na ila.

respect the lawyer if he's defending u, respect the doctor if he's treating u. If they're not doing anything to you dont respect them at all. Respect is earn not given. hehehhehehehe
