Default Stupidity that Ruins my Time!

I have this experience early this year, when I tried to apply in a BPO industry. Their online advertisement says, ' Job Opportunities. Apply Now Online! So my excitement clothed my being as the Ad says, like it was looking to fill up many vacant positions.

Since it was not stated what positions are available or what they are looking for, I sent my application based on my capabilities, what i can do and what position I was aiming to be, and that is to be on their advertising department that caters advertisement artworks or to be in their recruitment team that needs visual expertise of a digital artist like me. Although I knew that BPO industries usually looking for call center agents, I decided to sell my expertise and explain in my Resume how can i help the company. I admit I was not so sure if they will call me for an interview, because maybe they are not looking for the position I am applying for, but to my surprise, the following day, someone texted me and told me I was scheduled for an interview. It was the BPO company i sent my application online. Wow, they need my expertise, as what I've told myself with great joy and excitement. They even called me to ask me if I can come tomorrow for an interview, aside from the text message they sent to inform me.

So the next day, i was in higher joy, preparing for an interview that will happen within hours away. I didn't watch Umagang kay Ganda, nor listen to DYHP's straight to the point radio segment for I am trying to focus my preparations for the coming interview. I arrived at their office on time and the guard told me to submit my Resume to him. The guard told me to wait on the waiting area. I sat for around 30 minutes with the other applicants, gladly joined and sparked some informative discussion with some female cutie job hunters when the guard called my name.

Guard: Sir: unsa kuno imo gi-applyan nangutana si Ma'am...
Me: Graphic Artist or Admin Staff for advertisement department.
Guard: Wala man kuno ana na hiring diri Sir.
Me: Wwwhhaat? Pero nitext man sila, nanawag pa gani pagkahapon mentioning my name and told me 'see you tomorrow'. Ug klaro sa akoa application letter ug Biodata akoa gisend what position akoa gusto!
Guard: Basta Sir, wala daw sila hiring na ing-ana!
Me: Akoa nalang na ibilin akoa application ha.
    Guard: Dad-a lang ni Sir.
Me: No, ibilin na nako para naa sila'y reference kung kinsay klaro ug kinsay dili.
    Guard: Sssiigee Sir.
(and i walked away from that building, visualizing like I am an X-men melting that building with my mere eye power) hehehe

What the f..(tttoooot) thing happening in here. I was being called for an interview and they will just tell me things like that?

Is a kind of ***** or idiot, senseless being handled my application? nagtext pa ang kanahaw, even called me without reading the content of my application letter and Biodata? I felt bad, I felt like I wasted my time for senseless appointment. Not even, one from the Recruitment Team of that BPO Company even have the guts to face me and show a simple gesture of apology, knowing I came there with lots of preparation and obviously will be resulted in a waste of my time. It's a total hassle and a feeling of awkwardness. I even saw some of the applicants from the waiting area looking at me like they were saying "naunsa diay na siya", or "hala molakaw lagi na siya wala giinterview"?

When I came home, I sent a text message their number and told them what happened. No one replied!

    Hastang lawgawa!!!

Ishare kuno ang pangan sa company TS para sad makibaw ni atong mga kaigsoonan sa imuhang kaagi.
Basin diay ang guard na imung kaatubang sad wala sad juy alamag sa mga panghitabo sa sulod. Suppose to be naa na sila lista sa names or schedule.

Nakasulay sad ko ana TS. Ug dili sayop ako pangagpas, sa IT park ni nga company.

I think ang ning tawag nimo, wala diha or dili mao sa ning dawat sa imo resume/application.

I was scheduled for an interview, ning dong ko sa company at the specified time. Gi exam ko, din gi interview. After that, lunch break nah. Natingala lng ko nga ning text man balik nako ang compnay(same number sa nag schedule nako ug interview) nga y wala daw ko ning dong. If la daw ko kaapas sa interview time, pwd pa daw mo apas after lunch break. So na shock ko kay y wala xa nakahibaw.

I was applying for a IT position, but when the time ila ko giinterview, it seems that agent ako padungan. So in the end, la nako gidawat ang Jod. Mga way klaro man na sila diha. Nag apas lng ug commission.

hmmm... ambt lng... did the text invite say specifically that they were going to interview you for the job you desired? kay mahug mn gd nga ang imo gibuhat ts kay equivalent sa walk-in, nya usually in BPO companies, kng mu walk-in ka, it is assumed that you will be applying for an agent position. Kay kng graphic artist mn na nga position, then naa untay nag atang s hr pag ad2 nmo s opisina, ni hatag unta sila ug time nga muad2 k s opis, kay mu-expect mn cla nmo, nya inig ad2 nmo s lobby imong pangan gihatag n s ilang mrag reception, nya igo nlng k magpahibaw nila kng kinsa ka... bsan pag mu sulti ang guard nga di cla hiring, kng ang receptionist naay pangan nmo, then ok unta ghapn...

mrag feel nko n mislead rka TS. but this I think is not entirely the company's fault. basin ni apply k s usa k jobpost nga para s mga agent, nya ang HR nga nag post a2ng jobpost online igo r ni kuha s imo contact details nya ni send dayn ug generic invitation text. kay kng ang orig job post kay nangita ug graphic artist or something similar, sure ko lahi jd ang treatment n imo makuha

ang giingon sa text kay naay nagpaila nga siya si ..... then iya daw ko ischedule for interview ugma ani nga time, after that pila ka hours, the same number nitawag nako with the same name sa nitext ganina telling me na naa koy interview unya, ug niingon pa gani 'see you tomorrow'. Nagmention paman gani sa akoa name ang nanawag. So i believe nagtan-aw dyod to sa akoa gisent na Resume.

I informed them sa text sa nahitabo, walay reply. Now, is this the kind of people na wala gitudluan sa ila ginikanan or wala nakakat-on sa eskwelahan na kung makasahol kag tawo mangayo man lang kag pasensya or to explain your side with simple gesture of apology? Pila ramay text unta, di gani kaabot ten minutes pagtext if you are really that responsible kung unsay sayop na di mao imo nabuhat, na overlooked ba nimo tungod sa kabusy di ba? Ako pasensyoso ko nga tawo, but everytime i think of this incident, ang akoa nerve murag mga wires na mo-spark kay kabalo dyod ko, Di dyod to sakto hitaboa.
