    Unhappy Pet loss

I tried searching if this thread already exist, but none found.

Hi, All - I created this thread to fellow pet lovers you have lost or about to lose their companion.

Here's my story, my furry buddy's name is Snoop, he is about 10 years old, these past few weeks he's getting weaker and can't eat well, I am feeding him, liquid foods cause he can no longer chew his food properly, then yesterday a family member told me that euthanasia would be the best option for my buddy, so he will no longer suffer, yesterday I took him for a walk, then after a few minutes of walking he lay down, I noticed his four legs are shaking, and could no longer endure a long walk, he rested in that place for about 20mins. I talked to my buddy while petting him, I said (Snoop sleep nalang ka?), and it hurts me more and more saying that to my buddy, I remembered the first time he licked my face, the bond that we had is so strong, I am very attached to my furry buddies, so to make the long story short, I need some advice, to what is the best thing that we must do, that I must do, this is the far most hardest decision that I am going to make, taking away my companion's life to end his suffering, makes me sad.

I remember kidda (my dachshound) suffering from pharvo at CDO.... gipa ospital pa na nako nakagasto ug dako kay confined man sya for almost a week, ug sa dihang after sya givisit sako mama na ga leap pa sa iyahang cage, gipabalik sya the other day kay namatay na. LDR mi ni kidda and the rest of my pets in CDO btw.

Im a pet person too and Im sooo against euthanasia.

here, lemme share you what made my decision against euthanasia stronger:

10 Things Your Dog Would Tell You

    1. My life is likely to last ten to fifteen years. Any separation from you will be painful: remember that before you get me.

    2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

    3. Place your trust in me—it is crucial to my wellbeing.

    4. Do not be angry at me for long, and do not lock me up as punishment.

    5. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I only have you.

    6. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don’t understand your words, I understand your voice.

    7. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget.

    8. Remember before you hit me that I have sharp teeth that could easily hurt you, but I choose not to bite you because I love you.

    9. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I might not be getting the right food, or I have been out too long, or my heart is getting too old and weak.

    10. Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old. Accompany me on difficult journeys. Never say: “I cannot bear to watch” or “Let it happen in my absence.” Everything is easier for me if you are there—even my death.

Im also against pet euthanasia even under hospice kay it always remind me of animal euthanasia in shelters kung dili sila ma-adopt.

He's yur buddy, so be there for him...
Let him live his life until his dying breathe!!

Mag mahay nya ka later-on if u decide to end his life... Dili na nimo ma bawi

TS, is he suffering from a non-curable disease? If yes, it is better to put him to sleep than to let him die in agony.

Snoop may not speak but deep inside he knows he's lucky he had lived a full life with you which other dogs did not get to experience.
