I have a Corolla 2E, 71k mileage. I'm having acceleration problem. High RPM but slow acceleration.

1. When engine is cold (newly started) nindot ang acceleration pero after mureach sa tunga sa gauge, muhinay na ang acceleration. Feels like bug-at ang sakyanan bisag ako ra usa ang sakay.

2. Since I bought the car, wala pa jud ko kapadagan ug above 80kph ky hinay ang acceleration, it takes time gani para maabot nako ang 80kph. I need to press the gas hard. But like what I said in #1 , when engine is cold I can reach 80kph fast pero if init na, maglisud na ug accelerate.

3. Shifting early, when I reach 2k to 2.5k rpm, it stops accelerating. Ex. When I'm in 3rd gear, I need to shift at 40kph ky hinay na kaayu mu accelerate, mutaas lang ang RPM but very slow acceleration. In 4th gear I shift to 5th at 60kph. Same with 1st gear, I shift at 10kph. 20kph to 25kph in 2nd gear.

What could be the possible problems?
Recent change oil was on march 1, 2014. Changed my spark plugs last january 2014 (bosch platinum).

From experience, sobra ka init usa sa dakong hinungdan ana nga problema. Make sure your cooling system is working properly, basin hugaw ang surfaces nga agian sa tubig, walay maayong heat transfer. Sobraan ka init, sobra pud ang expansion sa metal parts, samot pa gyud mag problema kung di dangog nga klase sa oil ang gamit. Ipa check-up gyud na sa makamao nga mekaniko, kanang nakasabot sa ing-ana nga problema, otherwise, di na dali ma solved nga problema.

I recently flushed my coolant, changed to prestone ready to use. I Noticed rust in the hoses, I was able to remove the rust from the upper hose because it's just short. But the lower hose was difficult, so I just left it the way it is since it was sunday (no open shops) and I was going to use the car on weekdays. What's the effect of a bad radiator hose? I bought a new one now but I haven't installed it yet, maybe this weekend. Can I use the same coolant? or do I need to buy a new one? The coolant is a month old, sayangan ko coz it's expensive. hehe. Akong temp ky naa ra sa tunga pirme, is it ok? City drive ra man sad ko gud, haven't tried long drives.

Check clutch. Sounds like your clutch is worn and slipping pretty bad.

how to check bro? I had it changed recently, mga 6months ago. My clutch was hard and naay noise when pressing the clutch so I had it replaced, after changing the pressure plate and clutch disc, ni humok xa. But after a month, nibalik ra sad ka gahi. I don't think OEM ang gi-replace. Now gahi gihapon ang clutch.

Have a shop check lang kay all the symptoms you are describing is pointing to a slipping clutch. There might be something else that's wrong since if your clutch got worn in just 6 months it might not be seating properly when the clutch pedal is fully released leading to premature wear of the clutch.

looks like a transmission problem. try to check your clutch. di niya ma fully utilize ang torque conversion.

Thanks for your reply guys, is there a bad effect if I don't get this checked ASAP? I mean, would it break down anytime soon? I also noticed, when shifting to 1st gear while in traffic (init na ang engine), mu-vibrate ug kusog ang engine nga murag mapawng, bisag unsaon nako ug timing sa gas ug clutch. What I do is, I press more gas before releasing the clutch which lowers my fuel mileage but lessens the vibration.

If not checked ASAP a worn clutch could "eat up" your flywheel which would lead to more expensive repairs.

Kinahanglan na na i-down imong transmission TS and replace the clutch lining, inspect the status of the clutch plate (reface if scourged) replace also the clutch release bearing since it`s a one shot job, you cannot just replace it directly if it shatters due to high mileage (MTBF Limit)
