Problem with my CDRW

Hello, anybody got the idea regarding my CDRw? here's the problem

During boot -up and Loading of OS XP, - successfully it was detected w/ the correct model and displayed as CDRW
but if tried to burn disk,

a. using Nero, I got a message "disk drive is in-use!"
b. Roxio ... no disk re-writable found.

or when i just simply open the CDRW drive using windows explorer, supposed on the left side, there should be "CD WRITING TASK OPTION" with "write files on CD" or "Erase this CRW if something is loaded in drive.

My CDRW, acts like a normal CDROM? is it? anybody experienced this one?

I suppose you have a pending "burn to CD" jobs.
Try reinstalling your burner software

@AMD_infinium05ae ... will try to check back bro.. i forgot the exact model, its an old model of Asus CDRW 21??
will try to check back when i got home.

totally remove the drive from the system. I mean let your windows XP forget that it has a CD-RW drive.
After you do this, reconnect the drive back. XP has a built in burner in Windows Media Player. This might be in conflict with the burner software that you use.

@Tamblot. Thanks bro ill try ur suggestion, actually i remember ng start niya cya after nku gi install ang Roxio, then try pud nku ang Nero krn lang... U might be correct bro... thanks bro.. ill give u update once ma try nku.. thanks :mrgreen:

Tamblot thanks... i uninstalled all the burning software and i also found out that the "IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service" in the services is not running... this is the main cause ... now w/ out burning software... its back to normal...
