SOP Music Awards 2005 Results

The 2005 Music Awards was held at the UP Film Theater in Diliman, Quezon City, and aired live on GMA 7. A total of 8 categories included the best music artists of OPM as GMA's Sunday noontime show SOP paid tribute to with their 2005 SOP Music Awards.

Nominees were chosen from radio stations' most popular OPM songs and artists plus asking the online public via chatrooms which artists they thought should be nominated. A prerequisite for artists to be nominated was that they should have performed on "SOP" at least once. SOP's ratings during the artists' guest appearances were taken into consideration as well. Winners were determined by the number of text votes from viewers.

Aside from the awards, the entire show also included live performances by Bamboo, Hale, Cueshe, Yasmien Kurdi, Jonalyn Viray, Orange and Lemons, 6Cyclemind, Sugarfree, *** Bomb Girls, Restrospect, Masculados, J Brothers, K and The Boxers, Arianna, Nyoy Volante, Salbakuta, Dice & K9, Brownman Revival, 3yondorobo, Jacque Estevez, Aikee, MYMP, APO Hiking Society, Aiza Seguera and more.
