David "Faramir" Wenham

I adore him playing Faramir in Lord of the Rings, not because of his acting but because of his stature and looks.Â*

gwapo kaayo shits.. Heheh.. but anyways.. I started noticing this David Wenham more after his memorable performance in Van Helsing. Waa s**t I was soo shocked to find out he was the friar. Faramir? Carl the comedic, nerd, geek, Van Helsing's sidekick. He was once voted Australia's sexiest guy, and is very well known for his versatility. One of Australia's best.

Truly one of the best foreign actors that I hope will soon be more noticed in Hollywood. I wish to see him in more good movies, I hope.Â*

He's very subtle when he performs...... but his brother in the movie Boromir, played by Sean Bean is more of the antagonistic type of character. Bean has a kind of a Kiefer Sutherland edge..... as we've seen him in Patriot Games, Goldeneye and the Rings movies.

Wenham was excellent in giving a struggle and a degree of contentiousness to Faramir's character in THE TWO TOWERS..... And in my opinion David did a great job in masking Faramir's curiousity (which somehow he doesn't want to reveal) with arrogance.

And then we discover that there's a lot of good and also, a lot of sadness in Faramir's character. This is foreshadowed by the end of TWO TOWERS. So my life is forfeit.

And also bitterness with his father and a lot of emotion was portrayed in ROTK.... Overall, Wenham is just one of those actors that was decisively cast for the trilogy, as they are movies that use actors instead of stars. Hence, how AMPAS declined in recognizing a single nomination for acting in the third film as the finale (and it's two predecessor's as well) is an ensemble.

I don't if I'm right about this but Sean was casted first to play Boromir, and they chose David Wenham because of similar noses, David said, his big nose.

Really... now that, I can't imagine. Heheh. But anyhow, the first time you watched Van Helsing, did you already know that the friar is played by LOTR's faramir? Coz I did not.

cool kaayu ang pag portray ni david sa role na faramir sa LOTR. shock pod gani ko na sidekick sidekick lang sya sa Van Helsing...i guess it just shows how versatile he is
