I havent found a good salad place in Cebu

try oh george salads..my favorite is the Mexican salad...but if your luking for a resto nga salad ra gyud ang gi-prepare, i guess wala na diri sa Cebu....

i agree, oh georg is your best bet. you have creative choices beyond the usual caesar's & chef's salads, and the prices are good value for money. servings are big so its good enough for two as a first dish, but big enough for 1 as a main dish.

if you feel like splurging, gustavian's has a salad version of a club sandwich (the anti-salad of salads) with bacon, boiled eggs & chicken. 300++ but a struggle to finish on your own.

Ok I'll try Oh George thanks for the tip. It's sad there are very little restaurants that serve good, fresh salads

Suprisingly Hola Espana had good fresh Salads

mandarin chicken salad of tequila jo's P175
oriental salad of cafe george P175 i think
greek salad of cafe goerge P175
taboulli salad of persian palate P135 (good for side dish)
salads of la tegola forgot how much they were though

Thanks Aleyson will try those Yummy, bon appetit ( seems like a fair price ) do they have good sized serving and not it being a side dish?

I was talking to my Chef friend about Cebu and Salads the other day, he came up with the conclusion that Cebu may not be ready for Salads being an Entree unlike Manila and other parts of the world. This is an interesting topic because it was a mix of culture and change for cebuanos. Certain apprehension of change. Anyway he owns a Catering business and wanted to be creative, hence included new dishes, main salad etc. Later he noticed that people (clients, friends etc) preferred the usual dishes, u know what im talking about we gotta have lumpia, adobo, macaroni salad, sweet and sour fish etc. Every single time this was a hit. Now the sensible way is to keep on serving these because it pays the bills but downside is there is no room for new food ideas to be served. There isnt really a right and wrong but just keeping an open mind. Thought of sharing

yup these are all good sized servings...they could serve for 2-3 as a side dish.

ahh i see...yup you do have a point that people here could be a little aprehensive towards changing their diets. but its slowly getting there.
