Tell your cousin to go to the counselor's office then to the Dean
with an anecdotal record (stating the date, time, room #, subject
and the teacher in question then a narration of what transpired)
to support your cousin's complaint. Also attach the excuse letter
and death certificate as reference to her/his absence.

Whatever the reason of such absence, teachers aren't supposed
to treat their students that way. What's the use of teaching good
morals to her class when she can't even practice such behavior?
