    Default Cabinet revamp

Source: The Philippine Star (June 17, 2007)

Allies of President Arroyo have proposed major changes in the administration, starting with a Cabinet revamp, after the opposition’s victory in the May 14 elections.

Sen. Edgardo Angara, a former opposition leader who ran under the administration’s Team Unity in the last senatorial polls, said the bad performance of the administration ticket in the national elections “requires a drastic facelift” of the government.

He said the senatorial elections were a good barometer of the people’s sentiments nationwide.

I think this is timely. And Sec Gonzales have to go.

    What do you think?

I think this courtesy resignation is simply a procedure. After all, their appointments were made at the pleasure of the president. Besides, a cabinet revamp is just normal. If the president has to do it so as to have an efficient and effective cabinet, then she can very well do so.

It's not something to panic on. It's the president's call, anyway.

I bet... Sec. Gonzales would still be there. Are you expecting good coming from this revamp? I'm not expecting any from this admin.

i echo you, FK. si raul gonzales feel nako magpabilin gihapon that's not good after all. but hey, if if dili mahawa si raul gonzales, the more backlash will be coming on GMA. siya gihapon madaut ana. anyway, history repeats itself on 2007 elections. kung mao na siya ang dagan sa pulitika starting june 30, 2007 until 2010, expect opposition candidates gihapon ang modaog!!

    i think its wrong

if PGMA reason for doing a cabinet revamp is due to TU's bad performance on the latest election, then

PGMA should be the first to go

It's GMA's style... blaming others for her fault.

TU was defeated in the election, it is because of her.
2004 scandal, she said sorry, who did she blame, she blame the system? Pareho ra man ni sa ako classmate nga gi blame niya ang maestra nga ni gawas, mao ni cheat siya.

well,if GMA should be the first to go,who would you replace as president? Kabayan?

GMA is doing this revamp thing to ensure the people that she doesn't tolerate the retention of some corrupt officials..its better than not doing something at all..

hope your not suggesting that there is no Filipino who could replace PGMA, 'coz if this whats the majority thinks, then i would definitely feel sorry for this country

as for the revamp, due to corruption, i hope cases are filed in the OMBUDSMAN

sometimes doing nothing is better, than doing something worst

And it looks like nga sakto ako pangagpas nga mahabilin si Gonzales... kay mura wala jud mahitabong revamp. hahaha... what can we expect? An administration merely surviving on politics?

Can she include the COMELEC officials? Uso jud ron ang patay kani nga admin noh? hasta mga witness mangamatay.
