Hi it really depends on the conditions you're living in. The people who say you should only bathe your dog once a month or even twice a year are those who think their dogs don't really need much cleaning. Bathing your dog every week won't strip off their natural oils. If that were the case, those dog owners who are keen on joining shows would have bald K9s running around.

Personally, I used to bathe my dogs once in two weeks when we lived in a private village with no dust or excess smoke from vehicles. Now that I live right along a busy road in the city, I bathe them regularly now (once a week). The quality of dog shampoo we have right now, compared to years ago (which were detergent based), is much better at conserving their skin and coat. Same rule applies to my puppies. Just make sure the water is not too cold and not too warm and a good quality shampoo. Also you can use conditioner if you plan on bathing your pooch once a week.

When my dogs get dirty way before their bath schedule, i just wash off the messy area with water (no shampoo).

i bathe my dog at least once a week or once every 2 weeks. But depends sa environment sa imo dog. min is naa raman sulod sa house so dili kaau dali siya mahugaw. but its naa sa gawas i would advice once a week lang liguon. and use liquid soap mas maayo if mildly scented lang. dont use bar soaps kay aside na makaopaw, mag buhol2x iya furs labi na if balhibuon imo dog

2 things from experience ako nakitan... the smaller ( mini breeds 1-10kg mga pomeranian terrier chihuahua ect) the dog mga 3-4 weeks guro. medium breed ( 11-25 kg ) mga 2-3 weeks... maxi dogs (26-44kg) 1-2 weeks. if hugaw na imo dog inbetween ana ke pwede ra water no shampoo... also if active keu imo dog or cge ka exposed sa gawas ke mas kelangan e ligo. ako la man ko sched sa ako mini dog basta mu action na baho ke ligo lang with shampoo if hugaw lang iya fur tubig raman. naa sad mga breeds nga dili keu baho.
