Is carrying Telescopic Baton Legal in CEBU for self defense

Im really curious right now. Because i am freshmen college right now. Its my first time riding jeeps and i really want something to defend myself. I am training boxing but i feel like its not enough on real life situations (If you know what i mean)

So im planning on buying a telescopic baton the one used by Riot police or police in states.
Is it legal carrying here in Philippines?
Is it considered Dangerous? Threat?
Is it the same getting caught with a knife? or a stun gun ?

When i go to malls will the guard take it? If they found out that i am carrying one will i be arrested?

I'm getting conflicting info all over the place. Some say it's legal, some say it's not, and even law enforcement sometimes contradict themselves. My suggestion would be to consult with a real lawyer if you're serious about this, or get somethig that we know is legal, like pepper spray.

I don't think brass knuckles will be accepted anymore, not after that incident with a schoolboy killed after being punched with brass knuckles. IIRC, there's been some push to have them declared deadly weapons. Stun guns, though, are probably legal. Some kinds, at least -- I think there are models that only law enforcement are allowed to use.

Brass knuckles for sure are illegal, especially in school campuses. However for batons I haven't heard anyone caught carrying in malls or schools. It's not a conventional weapon unless used with precision skills and deadly force.

But it wouldn't hurt to consult a legal counsel to be sure.
