Kingston? PQI? Imation? Daghan kaayo choices... hard to decide what to buy
those are good brands that you mentioned,...... i dont think you can go wrong with any of those
what you need to look for is:
- size
- capacity
- price
- keychain holder (this is important for me coz i wanna have it with me all the time. and my car keys are always with me)
- cap-less (i'v had a few flash drives and i'v lost 2 of the caps. and without caps you might damage the USB connector with water / dust or whatever)
- built-in security / password (you dont really gotta have this but its an advantage)
i have a SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4GB on my car keys

It doesn't matter which brand. Just make sure the USB drive you're picking up uses SLC flash rather than the slower MLC.

i always had and still have a sandisk. my criteria in choosing flash drive are:
- physical size - it should have a slim profile so that you could use you could use the adjacent usb port on your computer when you use it. small enough that it won't bulge in your pocket.
- memory capacity - 2gb is just about right for everyday use
- retractable usb connector - trust me: you always lose the cap.
- quality/looks - above the looks consider the build quality and the material of the body. of dark color because it easily pickups dirt when you're using it often and again it should have a slim profile.
- software - i'm ambivalent with u3. the password protection defeats the portability because you need to install u3 to the computer to access the flash drive with password-protection and you could not always do that. but if you're getting it with no additional premium to the price then get one. you could always deactivate the software.
- other - small thing but quite important: ring for lanyard or keychain.
- price - after considering all of the above, buy what could afford.
kingston and sandisk
