Default Dilemma: Shifting from Nursing in CDU to AB Linguistics and Literature in USC

Im a nursing student from CDU but I couldn't take the long term stress jud. So last week I was decided to transfer to USC-TC for Linguistics and Literature which I absolutely love.

Pero the dilemma is that the reason why I went to nursing school in the first place is to help people. Pero I don't want to do that through this ordeal. I dont like getting screamed at by the CIs and the program in CDU is too stressful.

Tiwasan pa jud nga daghan kaayog nahitabo nako nga bad luck sa CDU. 2 weeks ago pud na snatchan ko sa jeep dapit sa parkmall. Ara ko naka realize that CDU's vicinity is not safe anymore. And that I have to flee kay wala nako na happy sa akong environment.

But if mu transfer ko ug Linguistics ang naa sa akong hunahuna kay what's next? What job will I get after graduating Linguistics? Compared nga kung mu graduate ko ug Nursing, wa ta kaybaw okay na ang economics sa Nursing after 4 years, then maka enjoy ko sa akong salary. But what about the long term stress which I really hate? Okay ra unta nako kung mag Linguistics then mu proceed ug Med, but I don't think that's possible.

I need some advices before I go to summer school in two weeks.

This is a battle of what you really love in life versus the reality and being practical. TSAR. Sakto ba?

If you like Linguistics, and also want to help sick people. Then please take a Speech Pathology course.
This way, you are then called a Speech Therapist, in demand pa ni sa European nations ug US/ Canada.

    Chill pa ang curriculum.

years from now, in demand nasad ang nursing.
but according to you, di nimo kaya ang long term stress which is ma-encounter nimo if mupadayon ka'g Nursing .

so , . . do what you love and love what you do nalng ..

okay man sad ang AB Linguistic and Literature sa TC

AB in literature/linguistic course is good only if you like being teacher, interpreter, call center, tour guide or even stewardess pero ang nka disadvantage hindi masyadong indemand abroad ang ibang job. Ang teacher nmn indemand but hindi mo nman gusto. Ang advice ko lang. . pag pharmacist nlng or pag kuha og course nga indemand until five years bhalag dli kaau gusto nimu kay imu ra mn nang ma kat unan.call center is good also. High salary.

If you dislike CDU's form of teaching (attitudes of CI's) then transfer to another school. USJR CI's are different from CDU coz they are nice to students and you can easily talk to them without screaming at you. I had a similar experience at CDU, though na turn off na lang jd ko when Madam Ramas herself and I had a conversation which really disappointed me. But if you really don't like Nursing there are other courses that can help you. Just don't limit yourself to your title when you graduate.

ts kasabot ko nmo ryt now nag libog pa ka sa unsa imong ganahan kuha on... sakto ka after ka mo grad unsa imong possible work...

kung linguistic ka pwdi ka mag work as teacher, hotels and companies nga needed ana most of it kay BPO...

ang nursing sad kay after ka mo grad mao gihapon wa kay work don't hope na lng nga maka larga ka ug una kay daghan sad man ang naka una nmo nga nag huwat sad... so if mo proceed ka which is mao nay nahitabo rn, ug nahitabo nako sauna, from nursing to med den wa nako nahuman sad...

try open ur mind to another course nga interested ka...

kung mag linguistic ka unsa man major nga language and minor imong kuhaon?
