Need Advice for Laptop/Netbook

Finally, after weeks of trying to figure this out for myself, I have come to accept that the times have caught up to me and I am now at a lost when it comes to easily understanding what all these new techno stuff is.

I'm no computer noob. But after five years or so with a pc that I put together myself and a netbook that had served its purpose for a couple years, I didn't bother keeping up with whatever was new in the market.

However, after three weeks since my trusted netbook and pc went ablaze after our house caught fire, I am in dire need of finding myself a laptop or pc to last me another 3-5 years.

I know budget and purpose are the two things I need to let you know about.

Budget is preferably 20k or less. Purpose is for browsing, office work, watching movies, and must seamlessly play Diablo III, Starcraft 2, and World of Warcraft with no hiccups. Preferably 14".

After reading around websites and even istorya, I believe this budget is workable for a 2nd hand. I'm not sure about brand new ones. That said, I am open to finding 2nd hand units. But if brandnew units do come to mind, let me know how much more and where to buy these.

I also have the option of ordering laptops on ebay (US site) and getting them here, if you know of options that would have been great but are just not available here.

By the way, you might think this might be better off on Buy/Sell, but with respect to thread owners, discussing the pros and cons of their hardware might be construed as disrespectful.

I will post links to a few ads that I found on istorya.net, and I hope you can tell me why that and why not. Or if you find ads on istorya or elsewhere, please post the link.

And I hope my fellow updated-computer gurus, you'd feel free to bash or praise things about the unit posted by others.

P.S. I'm having difficulty comparing speeds now. I read that 4 CPUs is not ideal coz most apps don't make use of all CPUs anyway. Hence, 2 cpus would give you the best value for money. I also read that the architecture of the CPUs matter and not just the clock speeds. Hence, this thread. I'm hoping you can help me decide from all the ads you see on istorya. Thanks!
