Nvidia GeForce Experience Beta Now Available to the Public

GeForce Experience hits open beta status and adds support for new games.Nvidia on Thursday announced that its GeForce Experiencebeta program is now open to anyone and everyone who wants to kick its tires, so long as you're driving a supported graphics card (and no, AMD cards are not supported). It initially launched as a closed beta back in December 2012, and since that time, over 40,000 gamers downloaded the app. Nvidia said it's been using the feedback it's received over the past month to make improvements.
"With the latest release of the GeForce Experience, we've added support for the latest games, including Far Cry 3, Mechwarrior Online, and Hawken. In total, 41 games are now supported," Nvidia stated in a blog post.
Nvdia also expanded CPU support beyond the latest generation of chips to now include Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors in the majority of supported titles. And of course Nvidia tweaked its game detection logic, made speed improvements, and squashed a few bugs. For those of you who wanted support for 2560x1440 displays, that's been added, too.
The GeForce Experience is a software tool that takes the guesswork out of figuring out the best graphics settings for supported titles. It takes into consideration your hardware and adjusts in-game settings to appropriate values based on real-world tests across thousands of hardware configurations. In theory, supported games should look better and run faster with less hassle.
