Default Windows 7 usage at 200mb

In response to this thread, i have been tinkering with my OS for quite a while and this is as low as i can get.
This is a stable windows 7 Pro 32 bit, installed on a sandy bridge laptop with 2.0gb of memory.. It can go as low as 177mb but that is definitely not a stable state and would eventually increase to 220-230mb after normalizing for 2 minutes.

    NORMALIZED STATE AT 226MB

    LOWEST USAGE BUT UNSTABLE

    ENROUTE TO NORMALIZATION

There you go guys.. 200mb is definitely possible. Dili lang ko mosulti sa details kay basin makasala pa ko kung magkabuang inyong pc.. Refer lang mo ani nga post..

    Cheers!!

Thanks for this tip but does this even make any sense considering today's HD's are inexpensive?

I haven't had a workstation with less than 12GB of memory for years. This doesn't make sense to me, but hopefully it does for others.

I just tried to toy with it for the benefit of one poster in the computer hardware section who is torn between a ram or graphics card upgrade. And his budget was way low..

It's weird in a day where RAM and graphics are relatively cheap that people still try to find software workarounds. This might have worked in the 90s, but these days, it's best to just get better hardware once he knows the goals he is trying to achieve.
