How Long Should You Wait To Get Married?

In your opinion how long should you be in a relationship with someone before you marry them? how much time is enough to get to know someone and to kow enough about them to know that they are "the one". There is no right or wrong here. I just want to know what you think the minimum time should be.

I read somewhere that it should be over 4 months.

But in my opinion, it's not how long you've held each other's hands... what matter is... kamo na lang tiwas sa kanta. ^_^

I would say 6 months to a year, you should be able to tell if what kind of person he is.

Hay naku, the longer the better. Mine was 5 years (before we got married) and yet, i still get shock and surprise with how my husband react sometimes. It goes to show that you don't know the person you are marrying.

You also need to consider the financial aspect of your marriage. Make sure that he's already done with his barkada/night outs before you commit to it.

If people get married for the RIGHT reasons, then there will be lesser problems they encounter. Marriage is stressful enough as it is without carrying emotional baggage to worsen the load. :mrgreen:

hmm... i've read a lot of articles about this type of topic.. and in my point of view.. I would go for 6 months... and i do agree w/ mrs. beautiful mommy zahara here, she is absolutely right... the guy that you would like to be w/ should know his priorities and has a plan in his life... he has to be mature enough to take decisions and take responsibilities to his actions....

and i think 6 months is long enough to know the type of guy... but to marry someone... would take... 5-6 years... i think..

For me the longer the better or it depends on how you know your partner....
If youve been together in a short span of time but you him to the bones... then its OK

in my opinion we should not rush things about getting married, i think we need to be stable with FINANCIALY first before we get married. coz i think if were not financialy stable yet the married thing will not work no matter how in love the couple with each other... good day

wala time na, depende lang gyud but sige tagei nalang na minimum 1 year

i would want to get married before or when i'm 24/25 years old. i just wanna start a family and still be there for my kids when they get old and start searching the world as i have.
