have you tried reconfiguring your bios setup?
If you post snapshot of your BIOS screen it will be easier for us to help.
What motherboard do you have sad.
First make sure your motherboard supports SATA drives. Then get your SATA controller DRIVERS on a floppy disk. Next you should change a BIOS setting to allow your computer to boot from your SATA drive before other HDDs (assuming you have more than one HDD). Then during start of Windows install, when prompted, press F6. This will get you to a screen where you will be asked to insert your floppy disk with the SATA controllers driver in it. Once your SATA controller is recognized, your SATA HDD will be visible for Windows installation. Good luck!
i think ang raid setup ra ang magrequire og floppy disk. anyway, SATA ako mga drives and i don't have any floppy drive but i don't encounter any problem installing OS on my SATA drives. the following are my mobos: ECS nForce4-A939, Epox 9NPA3 SLi, and Asus P5N32 SLi SE Deluxe(my current mobo).![]()
sa karaan nga mobo, needs Diskette pa. Mao man na sa school namo, when we installed any OS. wala pa xa'y chip nga mocontrol para autodetect.
if you have multiple HDD, try daw removing all except for the SATA drive you wished to install
then if the disk can't be detected, mura kinahanglan jud na og diskette.
Just like dongie said, when installing windows xp, press f6 first thing when the blue screen comes out if required ang diskette.
Diskette is included in your motherboard's box. Kung wala ka, pangitaunun pa na sa internet.
i guess there's no such thing as primary drive on SATA HDD, maybe you mean SATA0, SATA1....Originally Posted by nicrosniper
