the question here now is wheter or not the man in the shroud is really christ...but that doesnt matter, the shroud isnt God, what we see here instead are two things: a portrait of man's cruelty towards his fellow man, and picture of what Christ suffered for us--even if the man there isnt Christ, the man of the shroud did suffer the same way that Christ did as stated in the Gospels...
