Default Would you live in a house or rent a room where someone died?

A friend of mine had a house back then wherein a thief stabbed by the people pursuing him fled, hid and died of his wounds. Ever since then they say they often get vexed inside their house like lights turning off and on and seeing "figures" or shadows of people especially in the second floor. Strangely the second floor was adjacent to the gate where the thief died.

I've been to that house plenty of times before it was demolished and it was like a second home to me, but I never did experience anything out of the ordinary there. I myself live in a house where someone died peacefully of old age but I could not see myself living in a house where someone died violently. And I heard some sellers wouldn't even disclose these matters to people they sell houses, for obvious reasons.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, the question is; would you live or buy a house or rent a room or apartment where some one was murdered or committed suicide? Or even of natural causes?

Doesn't have to be about ghosts, just the thought of living in a place where someone died violently is discomforting to me.
