bro, i learned my lesson with second hand cars. i bought a 1995 model car way back 2001 and then not too long after buying it, naa na dayun problems. and the was back 2001 so the car was only 6 years old.

in your case, a 1996 car would be 16 years old already. you have a good paying job man kaha. might as well, wait and save until you can have enough money para downpayment and apply for a car financing of at least a 2004 model nga car.

how much would a 323 be right now about 80-100k? naa man guro picanto or i10 nga 250-300k.

Don't buy 2nd hand/surplus,,, it's a waste of money og sakit sa ulo. If palit kag 2nd hand, palit nlng daan og 1 box nga paracetamol para pawala sakit sa ulo.

depende ra gyud na nimo sir, if for everyday use lang niya way labad, bnew nalang. hehe.
pero if hobby and love jud nimo ang cars, and naa kay goal and plans ok ra 2nd hand.. just bring ur trusted mechanic

basta 2nd hand, 50% sa actual price mao na imo pangandaman para sa maintenance... kabantay ta karun nga naa lagi warranty pero inig hupas sa warranty diha na makita ang mahalon nga maintenance... mao ng mga sapian, pag human sa ila impas sa ila bag ong unit, ila na idispose palit napud bag-o kay ang maintenance na ba lamang,,, sakyanan ka pa basta magdagan naa jud ng tear and wear...

ayaw pud tuo anang sa 2nd hand auto sale site na driver na lang kulang pwede na ipadagan (not in the long run).... sakit man gani ang bag-o pero at least cover sa warranty medyo dili sakit sa bulsa, ang hassle ug time lang ang problema....

if gikan sa imo kaila mas maayo, pero 3rd party na pangita na lang mekaniko bayaran nga maayo mosikot sikot sa sakyanan arun maoy makacheck sa imo prospect car....

ako ma advise sir.. ok ra mag second hand.. pero grabeh ang imong responsibilities if mo go ka for a 1996 model vehicles.

grabeh jd kaayo ang responsibilities ky d naka maka afford og hunat2 sa engine, or even loadan og daghan sakay. ang maintenance na instead of the normal 3months-3months, kani is mga around a month or 2 nalang.. like sa change oil and all of that.

and if mo plano ka og buy na second hand, then open for financing ka, go for brand new nalang. y? imagina, imo ifinance ang second hand.. mag data pka sa monthly nimo, mag data pka sa maintenance. ok ra kng ang maintenance is more on change oil lang, pero kng ilis parts sa mga nangaguba, ma doble imo gasto.

kng kaya ra nimo 10k per month, nya naa ka P150k karn, pwede na kaayo na mag brand new.

sa second hand, go for 2000 models and up..

pareha ta ani nga situation a couple of years back but decided to go brand new na lang. gikapuy ko research how to get the best deal. i concluded na the best and safest deal (for me ha) that one can get when going 2nd hand is if you buy from someone you know and that someone takes good care of it. naa sad ko mga kaila nipalit ug 2nd hand, yes it may be true that the car has worn out parts and needs to be replaced once in a while but the upside is, even if you spend for a part every month, the cost of ownership probably won't be as much as what you pay for brand new (based ni sa ako lang mga nailhan). if you can get a good deal on a 2nd hand unit, go get it. then again, nothing beats new car smell!
