Default Motorcycle Riding Tips - Crossing Flooded Roads

Share riding tips when crossing flooded roads or riding under the rain. Drive Safe.

    Crossing Floods

    • Halt for a moment before plunging your bike/car into the flood. Assess the depth of the water. Look for shallow path to use upon crossing. Ask residents/motorist for possible open-holes/pot-holes.
    • If possible, find another route. Bahala'g layo basta muabot.
    • If you decide to cross the flood, be more cautious. Drive slowly with the lowest gear position. Play with the clutch, not with the gas. (IMO) Watch out for incoming traffic.
    • If you fail to cross it, guide your bike/car to a higher ground. Wipe dry the sparkplug or replace it with a dry one. Change the engine oil as soon as possible.

    Flood Prone Areas

    • AS Fortuna (between JMALL to Benidicto College)
    • MC Briones St. - Highway Mandaue (San Miguel Corp.)
    • MC Briones St. - Maguikay Underpass

mas maayo gyud naa moy extra spark plug dala permi basta ting baha..

@necrotic freak, Dapat naa gyud extra sparkplug ug tools.

@ranaticsrule, ok ra man tingali dili basta wala ka na-pag-ngan sa baha. Mag-ilis man daw gyud ug oil if na-pag-ngan sa baha, tapos gi-guyod na.

Pero time will come nga ato masuwayan ang limitations sa ato mga bikes. Much better ang prepared ta on what to do before and after.
