Thread: RELIGION

  1. #1

    Default RELIGION

Why is it that some people are so blind!? Eventhough that they admitted that there's something wrong with their religion and their ways of praising and praying to the Lord but still they would insist and choose to be blind by their faith... and their reason.. because tradition daw!

Please enlighten my mind because im tired with this mess! *snipped by mod

Often in this crazy, changing, chaotic world-- people need assurance that something is great and always constant. Following tradition is an aspect of that, a means to maintain equilibrium, balance.

Now there are some traditions that are suspect to argument but the basis of religion is that each of us is the child of a divine power, thereby we possess free will which makes us unique, special...

In this spirit, I pray that this thread is not used to lambast any religion(save Satanism). Let us respect each other's beliefs for we are all not the same. And the best wayto respect is to first understand the differences in our faith systems.

Let this thread be used to understand each other better. All religions(even Satanism) preach unity for a certain cause.

And let us please keep our negative emotions in check. Emotion clouds.

    Let the enlightenment begin

indeed. there are questions but only a few mustered the courage to voice them. such questions had been there for a time, questioning religion and its bases.

and people sumtimes mix tradition with religion. i do agree with that. more like performing daily rituals because they have been part of the "tradition".

hmmm... quite a time before sumbody punched in a new exciting thread.

Thanks for reminding me dude! I am not saying religion or any denomination but i know that THEY KNOW who they are....

Now for potterboy asking me to be more specific would require me to point things out more and more and i do hope that to some people wont get mad at me for some reasons.

Nakasuway nakog simba sa ubang simbahan and ive observed many things. Â*Now Ive observed sa ubang simbahan nga they are just their just for compliance or because they are just there because they would feel good if ever makasimba na sila... not knowing and not getting the very meat of the ceremony. Â*I dont want to be biased but for me usahay naglibog ko kung unsa kaha ni ang gihunahuna sa mga sa sulod sa kaning dako nga simbahan. I tried looking at their faces and their eyes were so blank that i couldnt see their souls enlightened nor cannot feel their spirit satisfied with words from God. Â*

Pun an pa gyud nga kadaghanan sa ilang magwawale kay gidali dali lang og wale para masakar sa 15mins. nila nga allocation for the whole ceremony. Now sa ubang simbahan im not saying that they are perfect but ngano nga kaning mga simbahana nga kinahanglan unta sa mga taw sa kinabag an... sama sa maayong mag preach sa word of God og maayong pag care sa ilang mga church members wala man kaayo gilingi sa mga taw sa kadaghanan! KAY TUNGOD TRADITION? KAY TUNGOD MAO NAY NAANDAN? And they consider other denominations as a threat??

There's a saying goes that "GOING TO CHURCH DOESNT MAKE YOU A CHRISTIAN, JUST LIKE STANDING IN A GARAGE DOESNT MAKE YOU A CAR"

I'm not saying sad sa katong mga minority nga church nga they are perfect again ako ning gibalik pero at least... based on my observation nga ang ilang effort ba to reach and to know God kay very apparent! HOW COME?

Please enlighten my mind again and again! And i just want an answer from you people!

The problem to be faced is..

how to combine loyalty to one's own tradition with reverence for different traditions.
