The conventional MMC supports only 3.0V devices.
the dual-voltage feature allows compatibility with devices running on conventional 3.0V as well as 1.8V devices like the Nokia 6630, 6680, 6681, 6682 models.
The adoption of low voltage translates to much lower power consumption, meaning a longer battery life for mobile digital devices.
