Electronic Sports, better known as e-Sports, is a growing global culture and worldwide phenomenon. It is an athletic competition that showcases skill and talent without being limited to height, weight or age. Over 40 Countries like South Korea, USA, Singapore, China, Japan, Germany, South Africa and many others have taken part of this cyber event and the Philippines, already recognized internationally for its cyber athletes, will be taking center stage in hosting international events.



This August 25-26 2012, Philippine e-Sports Organization (PeSO) will be hosting the International e-Sports Federation World Championship 2012- Philippine National Qualifier at the SM City Cebu Northwing. This event will gather over 500 players from all over the Philippines to qualify for the eSports – World Championship in Korea this October 4-8, 2012.

The event aims to be one of the biggest tournaments in Cebu e-Sports history with players from all walks of life gathering to compete in StarCraft II, Defense of the Ancients (Dota) and Tekken 6. Aside from these games, there will be a Costume Play (COSPLAY), RIG Display, exhibit and Photography competition.


In connection with the event, We are inviting all Cebu Computer Enthusiasts to participate!

We need at least 40 volunteers to bring their Rigz.

What will it be used for?

- Starcraft II and A.V.A. will be played on your Rigs.

Saturday:

- From 10AM to 12NOON, the Rigs are free for the owners to use, a Mini LAN Party perhaps.
- From 12NOON to 6PM, the Rigs will be used by the Tournament Players for the said games.
- From 6PM to 9PM, the Rigs are once again free for the owners to use. (Priority will be given to finish the tournament)

Sunday:

- From 10AM to 12NOON, the Rigs are free for the owners to use, a Mini LAN Party perhaps.
- From 10am to 6PM, the Rigs will be used by the Tournament Players for the said games. (Priority will be given to finish the tournament)
- From 6PM to 8PM, is the awarding ceremony with the Governor of Cebu & our sponsors.
- From 8pm to 9pm the Rigs are once again free for the owners to use.

How does this work?

- Every player is given a Number that corresponds to a Rig.
- The players can only use the Rigs that they are assigned to, which means, for the entire 2 days, only a maximum of 5 people will use the Enthusiasts Rigs other than the Owners.
- The PC Area is barricaded and entry is limited and controlled, only Owners, Staff, and Players are allowed entry.

When do we setup? And when do we pull-out?

- Setup date and time is on August 23, 2012 @ 9:00 PM or August 24, 2012 before 10am. (Mall opening)
- Pull-out date and time is on August 26, 2012 @ 9:00 PM.

What do we, the volunteers, get in return?

- Free Tshirt for the Rig Owners / Volunteers
