HIS introduced a new mid-range low-profile graphics card based on the Radeon HD 7750 GPU. The card uses a twin-fan cooler, dubbed the iCooler, which the company claims, will be acceptably quiet, despite packing two 40 mm fans. The HD 7750 iCooler (SKU: H775FN1G) graphics card was launched to all markets where HIS has a presence.
The HIS HD 7750 iCooler uses a half-height PCB, which uses a 2+1 phase VRM to power the 1.5 billion-transistor GPU, and the four GDDR5 memory chips. The GPU is clocked at 800 MHz, sticking to the older AMD specifications. The new specifications up this frequency to 900 MHz. HIS probably chose the 800 MHz clock speed to keep power-draw low. The memory is clocked at 1125 MHz (4.50 GHz GDDR5-effective). The card holds 1 GB of memory across a 128-bit wide memory interface.
The cooling solution that lends the card its name, iCooler, is a fan-heatsink. The heatsink is made of a single block of aluminum, which makes contact with the GPU and the four GDDR5 memory chips on the obverse side of the PCB. The reverse side lacks any components that heat up. The heatsink is ventilated by a pair of 40 mm fans. HIS mentioned that the cooler operates at noise levels below 28 dBA. The cooler makes the card need two expansion slots in your system:
Display outputs of the HIS HD 7750 iCooler include one each of dual-link DVI, HDMI 1.4a, and D-Sub (VGA). The D-Sub connector is detachable, which helps switching between full-height, and low-profile brackets (included).
Based on the 28 nm "Cape Verde" silicon, the Radeon HD 7750 is configured with 1,024 Graphics CoreNext stream processors, 64 TMUs, 16 ROPs, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. It supports the latest DirectX 11.1 API. HIS did not release pricing information of the Radeon HD 7750 iCooler.
