Telephone wire theft.. a very alaming trend... sudden lost of internet

We were informed by a PLDT line man that in Mandaue City alone, line thefts occurred eleven times in a month.

We have written to the head of PLDT Cebu several times on this matter. In addition to not getting the courtesy of a reply, we have seen no real effort on the part of the telephone firm to keep their lines safer, more secure, and less accessible to criminals.

PLDT simply replaces the lost lines, only to find them stolen again. We have also alerted the Cebu City mayor’s office by sending copies of our letters to PLDT.

I experience this one twice already. Sudden loss of Inet connection and phone. We found out the wires were stolen.

Ka gagmay anang ilang tirada nga mga cables oi.. Adto palang sila ilawom sa dagat sa Taiwan. Na'y didto ay dagko kaayo cables lami kaayo e patimbang, cge kawata to ninyo!

gamay ra nag gamit anang fiber optic bai kay pwerteng mahala ana. mostly gigamit kay copper drop wire lang gihapon.
