Default Lenovo P700 the best android dual sim phone in the market!!

at only 10,600 at GIZMO with limited time offer na FREE belkin powerbank, FREE simcard with LOAD and FREE 4gb microSD card (standard package comes with 2gb only).

Lenovo P700 is the phone i have been praying for several years. back in the days using nokia communicator 9xxx it was virtually perfect for my needs. until a 3rd player in the telco became essential to my everyday mobile connectivity. hard as i search every model from every manufacturer for many years, none offered my essential needs
    1) dual sim - since i need 3 sim cards (sun/smart/globe) bringing three phones is just miserable! bringing two phones is bearable if not necessary
    2) fast & efficient for better productivity and long battery life
    3) huge capacity for contacts (i have close to 5,000 contacts) and sms
    4) 3G+wifi+bluetooth to stay connected online and for long hours talking on the phone via wireless headset
    5) large capacitive touch screen for showing off pictures
most dual sim phones didn't have huge contacts capacity or efficient handling of sms. none made midrange or highend dual sim phones. i went as far as traveling to China trying to find a builder to comeup with something i needed at under 15k to no avail. then A60 came out it was considered a low-end dualsim smartphone but relatively good enough and it did the job but not quite fast enough to be very efficient in my productivity. with over 4,500 contacts, using the contacts app for example and searching a name took 20-30secs. though i found a work around, using the dialler app instead which returned name searches in a few secs. RAM was a constant issue with just 201mb usable to begin with causing the unit to get extremely slow at times. I used to hope that samsung would come out with a higher spec dual sim like an ACE duo and they eventually did but not totally GSM!

Finally Lenovo stepped up to provide us with a mid-high range spec at affordable price at less than 11,000pesos. zippy 1Ghz processor. 475mb usable RAM (more than double that of the A60). ICS android 4.0.3 goodness (no more gingerbread thank you!) 2500mah battery in a slim comfortable package. its heaven sent for me! i got one as early as possible and im loving it!!! it's simply the best dual sim phone i have ever tested and it's my daily phone now

What i like...for the price, almost everything...

1GHz MT6575 processor and VR SGX6xx GPU provides Fast and Efficient performance, i get to do what i need quickly like calling and sms. zipping thru the contacts and sms threads is very smooth. jumping from dialer to contacts for example is instantaneous i mean no lag at all its just amazing coming from an A60 which i can't imagine now of going back using. plus i can view and manage my groups out of the box unlike the A60.

2,500mah Battery provides plenty of power to get me thru the day with one charge vs my iphone4s requires 2-3 charges to get me thru the day. longer talk time, very good audio quality. earpiece is very good. mic is very good though no second mic for advance noise cancellation but during my test with an audiophile at the other end says the quality is impressive even while talking to him inside the mall.

Google Maps with navigation and offline mode...meaning no more need to have 3G connectivity when traveling!!! its not available on the A60 or other gingerbread phones like galaxy note or sII. but it is on the P700

Autofocus 5MP Camera has zero lag, very fast. panoramic mode is very easy to use. pretty good low light. can activate camera mode straight from the lock screen. front facing camera for video chatting and face unlocking

512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, 755MB internal storage, 1.85GB builtin storage, and 4gb free mSDcard (expandable to 32gb) not bad vs the A60 that only had around 220mb internal storage and no builtin storage only mSDcard.

4.0inch large multi-touch Display with the same IPS technology found in phones 3x the price like the iphone4s
super smooth photo transition and zooming, naay pay thumbnails sa ubos if u like. organizing the photos into folders is so simple can't understand why iOS does it the way they do it

FM radio that works without the need for headphone to be connected + you can easily record radio tunes and it has an FM transmitter so you can stream your MP3's to your old car radio

Gravity sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor, GPS with AGPS, USB & Bluetooth & Wifi tethering hehe all bases covered!

ICS 4.0.3 android goodness, way better notifications, quick bootup, etc. fantastic gravy on top of everything.

so many minor features that makes it so nice example, when you make a call as soon as the other line picks up the phone slightly vibrates. this is very convenient and makes my day very efficient. i dont have to put the phone in my ear or set the phone loudspeaker (not always possible like when in the car ang the radio is playing or in crowded places and inappropriate when you are with other people) as it rings and rings waiting for the other end to pickup.

BackupAndRestore builtin app works perfectly migrating my contacts, messages, user apps and call logs from the A60.

suppose to work as an answering machine as well but never tried it...

    What i dont like...

still no flash...it be nice to have a usable flashlight. have to resort to an app that turns the displays white.

built in prediction is the worst i ever used! good thing it's so easy to install other keyboards via play store for free. this is my favorite free keyboard

A60 handled assigning sim to each number perfectly. this option i can't find in the P700. it's not a deal breaker and there are many quick dial/text apps that can help. but it's just not the same.

    Tips...

search your mSDCard on the P700 named ideatool. It contains an executable file called ideatool_1.0.14_os.exe for pc connectivity. driver is also found on the mSDCard.

Screen Capture - Hold down the Volume Down button and Power button at the same time for about a second.
Recovery Mode - Press the Power button first for 1 second then release power button and immediately Press and Hold both Volume buttons
Factory Mode - Press and Hold Power + Camera button
Meta Mode - Press and Hold Power + Volume Down
For recovery mode and factory mode use the following keys to navigate.
    Volume - up/down selector
    Power - Enter
    Back - Back

I'm guessing you get to use two networks side by side without rebooting? I'm curious, how do apps know what network to use?
