Horrible animal cruelty and torture!!

Came across this posting in Facebook just earlier by Cyrus Kimchi on Cebu City Pound's wall..WTH!!

Around 11:30 PM last June 28, 2012 we saw this poor dog (unsure of the breed, but maybe a pitbull or an american bulldog), tied up to the back of a dark blue Nissan Terrano with plate number GHZ 121 as if beingexercised around the Ayala Center Cebu area. This is clearly a very irresponsible and lazy act on the owner's part. Not only is he/she wasting gas and contributing to pollution but moreover he/she is putting the dog in tremendous peril. The dog could just be easily hit or run over by another vehicle which in turn could possibly put other motorists in danger as well. It would've been so easy for the owner to get some air and simply walk the dog or with a bike where they are both in full view (so the owner can also get exercise in the very least!) than to have thoughtlessly opted to sit in his/her airconditioned vehicle and put the dog and other people in harm's way. What's worse is this isnt the first time that we had seen this same car and dog roaming around Escario during the late evenings. As a dog enthusiast and animal lover, my initial instinct was to chase down the driver to reprimand him/her of his/her actions. My companion was logical enough to think that it may not be a good idea, for fear of getting into a heated confrontation, and we had lost track of the car in the middle of our debate to do so. Fortunately, we caught the car a second time and I was determined to take some serious action by taking photos of the incident. Our mobile phone cameras werent enough to catch the details of the plate number but I wrote it down so I would be able to take note of it. To whomever is the owner of this dog and this car, or to whoever knows these people, please bring this to their attention so that they may be aware that what their doing is wrong. This also goes for every pet owner out there- to think responsibly and carefully about the welfare of their pets. I am banking on the good netizens of Facebook to bring this ignorant pet owner to a stop.

looks like a pitbull to me. The owner of that car wants her/his dog to have eye on it? If that dog is a friendly one, sure jud ko kawaton na.... looy jud, gibyaan sa gawas nya maka hilo bya nang baho sa tambotso.

Animal Cruelty jud ni. Hope the driver will be apprehended and questioned. If he/she denies this, there is this evidence. Anyone can report this to a Aninal Association here in cebu. I think the name is PAW. You may try to contact them.

This doesn't surprise me. Ingon ani man jud ang mga batasan mostly sa mga tao nga "adunahan". For them, dogs are "just animals" and doesn't know how to take care of them. Mas maayo pa ang mga less fortunate maka antigo pa mo galam sa ilang buhi nga iro pero ang ubang nga adunahan, ay sus, ambot lang.

One time naka agi ko padulong sa Sugarland sa may SRP unya naay dako kaayo nga balay pero naa sa gawas sa gate ang mga puppies, exposed sa init ug uwan pero ang mga tag-iya sa 3 ka puppies hayahay kaayo sa sulod. From that day nag sige mi ug dala ug pan sa mga puppines until one night na abtan mi sa tag-iya pero wala ko mo pansin nila nag hatag sa ko sa pan nga among dala. The next morning kay naa na sa sulod ang mga puppies.

Karon naa pud mi iro nga anha mag tambay duol sa mormon church sa nonoc, tabunok, gi kagid ug niwang ang iro usually nag higda atbang sa dako nga gate color blue. Udto ug gabii namo hatdan ug makaon ang iro, for almost a month now. Plano nako dad=on sa balay ang mao nga iro next week.

don't generalize bro... dili man most "adunahan" people in-ana.. hehe. kaila ko daghan well off people who love their pets so much whether its dogs, cats, horses, birds etc.

There are irresponsible owners lang sad like my neighbor nga buhian niya iyang mga askal sa gabii ... then they just roam the streets unya naka paak na ug mga people kapila... pataka lang kalibang mga iro gawas sa among balay then kami pa mu limpyo...
