SILICA GEL vs GRANULE DEHUMIDIFIER: The Real Score

I want to know the real score sa SILICA GEL vs GRANULE DEHUMIDIFIER


I have both but initially, I used the Granule Dehumidifer type called Moist Guard. It absorbs moisture WAAAAAAY faster than the silica gel and I needed it coz my room is so humid with the weather lately, it's crazy.


But when I read that Calcium Chloride, one of the ingredients of Moist Guard can cause corrosion to the equipment, I'm panicking now





FYI, I already got my hygrometer at this point, so total expenditure is P914.75 (the hyrgometer cost me P240)


So can anyone tell me the real score between the SILICA GEL and the GRANULE DEHUMIDIFIER? I'd get the rechargeable one, pero medyo lisud pangitaun diri Cebu. Swerte na gani ko kakita ko hygrometer sa National Bookstore

Sayop pag calculate TS. 674.75 + 240 = 914.75

Anyway, hulat pud ko unsa jud nindot gamiton. Silica Gel ba or Dehumidifier.

bought silica gel last week.. here's my review

silica gel - super hinay ang pag absorb... after one week 2% pa intawn ang ni naog sa humidity... I think this is good for equipment nah panagsa ra gud kaayo gamiton/ablihon..

rechargable - medium ang pag abosorb.. which is good but dali rah ma "hurot" (I find myself charging once every 2-3 days)

*note: you can find these sa mga photoshop diri.. try photoshop, f8 or macy's

granule dehumidifier - fastest mo abosorb... pero sometimes too fast... like I said sa previous post.. I need to pahungaw it everyday (unless I open the valve).. for me this is the best.. di kaayo ko mo worry sa calcium chloride it's solid in room tempreture...

Yeah, I definitely noticed paspas au munaug ang humidity sa granule. Pero dili pwede i overnight nga naa sa sulod lagi, tsk.

On a side note, lami au every time mu open ko sa dry box....nice au ang feeling sa air inside LOL

Room temp, no problem, wala pa liquid ako-a, just powdery sa bottom of the canister. Problem lang, I read somewhere na it's in the air, ang ions daw muy maka cause ug corrosion sa equipment, just as a car by the sea kay mas dali mataya compared sa car layu sa dagat because of the salt in the air...and calcium chloride is a form of salt...

Damn...still confused...

By the way, miadto ko PRG Photoshop, wala sila rechargeable dehumidifiers. Silica Gel ra. Aha diay na F8 by the way?

Ang danger lang anang granule humidifier is magtubig na xa ... then if mahuwad... mabasa pud imo mga gamit.
