I had just thought of this right now guys... We might make a difference in our country or even make big bucks out of this.
What do you think guys?
I'm just not that good in programming but i'm good in marketing/advertising & promotional stuff.

Thats just stupid. Everybody jokes about it, but it really is just stupid in my most humble opinion. If you want to help. If anyone wants to help, the road to go is to put your efforts into Linux and OSS applications for it.

you do a research on how many man-years would it take to become a usable OS. Check the history of FreeBSD and Linux.

also research the availability of programmers who can do that. take note that we code for living not with dreams. most of the programmers here in the philippines rather go application level.

Why is it so?... Maybe we're lacking of abilities & resources huh?
Or just contented of working for someone else's company.
Well... I hate employment.
A DREAM or GOAL is not bad because that's the only purpose why we are living in this world. Without it, we will probably end up asking ourselves "Why?... What happened?...".

Dream doesn't have to be necessarily BIG as long as we're satisfied before ma Game Over ta here in earth, which everybody does.

Well... Nothing is impossible for me after i fail a dozen times.

As far as i know, before doing project proposal you shoulde have a statement of the problem in mind to know what do you want to do. Do you have the list of issues to be solved of the current OS we have now (statement of the problem or objective)? What motivates you of doing this project (motivation)? How would you do this (implementation/staffing)? Write this down and persuade us why we should do that. Thanks.

I really didn't know anything about problem statements in this kind of proposal. I'm just an average programmer that's good in sales & promotion. That's why i opened this thread for someone out there that would like to start-up this proposal. U know... the knows & the hows.

Proposals like this are something that comes from beginner developers who aren't familiar with what is required to plan, develop, and support an application, nevermind an OS.

The way you describe yourself as marketing/promotional from your first post, I had the feeling that you are only go for money (like most sales people do). Now it's confirmed that you are only motivated for BIG bucks.

Tip: The principle is basic in marketing: create a demand.

Think an application that will applies to you and i am sure there are people will need it soon when they realize that your application is very helpful and usable for them.
