Overclocking guru “HiCookie” has successfully pushed an i7 3770K Ivy Bridge to 7.03 GHz using a Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H board and liquid nitrogen—a new world record for Ivy Bridge. How much juice did he feed the beast to get it up that high—a mere 1.956V with a CPU multiplier of x63.
HiCookie added to his resume by also breaking the world record for highest memory speed with the G.Skill Trident X DDR-2800 memory kit to 3,280 MHz on four DIMM slots using a GA-Z77X-UD5H board.
