The one that came with the Xbox 360 console unit most likely is not compatible with Windows.

just to reply to this comment... all xbox 360 wired controllers regardless if it came bundled with the console is compatible to be used on a windows PC/Laptop, a driver maybe required and if your running windows 7 then the O.S will automatically download it for you or you can download it directly on xbox official website... unless if its a wireless controller then you have to buy a transmitter for it...

anyways i also have a extra wired controller... maybe you do decide buying 2... paliton nimo ang kang matiasaznar ug ako-ah... 1k pud... white sad... fully working...

naa ko wireless xbox controller for windows 7 and vista... 2.3k ako baligya including na 2 sets of rechargeable battery wala lang charger.. pwede ra wala ang charger for 1.7k lng..
