This caught my attention, even if I sold my 918 already due to poor build plastic quality. Is this alum?

hmmmm a very interesting phone..... ill try to get this by next week and give a review on it..... the 918N wasnt really a bad phone apart from the build quality... but hey its a very practical phone....

I dont like paying for something that i wont use.... yes i know you can use GO or ADW... thats why in terms of ready setup phones samsung is at the bottom of my list.... the best ready setup androids so far is HTC... certain phone just has a charisma that attracts me i just dont have that feeling on samsungs.... surprisingly the newer models of alcatel phone like the 918N has that charisma.... well thats my opinion thought some people love samsung well i dont but if its any consolation samsung galaxy series are the easiest phones to play with in terms of rooting, flashing, installing recovery, ROMs.... its just so easy on a samsung... just like childs play examples are the galaxy Y, ACE, ACE+ and p1000 you root and flash new roms even with out being hooked up in a computer

OK!!!! Heres what I can say about this phone.....

- 1.2Ghz -
It doesnt feel like it has such power!!! its sluggish and slow and Boring... one would think well... its the launcher... you will have an option to switch launchers under settings... so I tried to switch to basic gingerbread skin... and OMG!! nothing has changed!!! SSLLOOOWWWW!!! and ANNOYINGGG...

- 2GB internal Memory -
Yes 2GB is actually not bad.... BUT!! this thing still has same problem with the 918N called BLOAT WARES!!! i mean what the hell is SLEEP EASY i dont need these apps... there is a reason why we have PLAYSTORE so that we can choose what to install and what not to install on our phones!!!

- HDMI Port -
I was looking forward to this feature... unfortunately... there is no HDMI cable packaged with the phone you have to purchase it separately and this is no ordinary cable and guess what... the store where you will probably get this phone will not have one...

Apart from the CONs mentioned everything else works as they should.

if your thinking of purchasing this phone... try checking out the Galaxy ACE Plus...

reddish dark camera vids and shots. sluggish menu. when compared side by side in the store, bought huawei honor instead and greatly improved every aspect of the phone with latest miui rom. improved so much more the camera vids and shots when i compared vids and pics when first time bought to now. instant flashlight and music player when locked. there are other hidden tips and tricks with miui that makes huawei honor easier and versatile to use. never going back. alcatel just has bigger screen that i like so much, free screen protector and SD and the for now useless hdmi. alcatel is much much cheaper also. Now, I'm playing family computer using wiimotes on my huawei honor... having fun learning new features more and more everyday.
