from canon to nikon switcher ko bro, ang usa ka raon ngano ni switch ko sa nikon kay ganahan ko sa iya ergonomics / grip handling niya, for image wise.wala man koy nakita nga kalainan kay mag RAW man ko. mao nay gi ingon nga depende ra jud na sa taste nimo. wala pud ko nagrecomend kung unsa brand imo gamiton kay lahi-lahi man gud ta ug timplada.pero kung padalhon ko ug duha ka system, maka shoot raman ghapon ko ug the same result basta both set within duol-duol ra sila ug specs

Minolta makes the best bodies,Canon makes the best compromise,Nikon makes the best lenses.

We all seek for sharp, crisp, well-toned, and beautiful images.

But, have we ever asked ourselves are my techniques and skills are enough to attain those desired images?

No matter what equipment you have, as long as you have the skills and techniques you will still have those stunning images.

TS, your only gripe is that "pagtransfer na sa computer dili naman mau ang imong makita sa LCD."?? Tell me, on how many types of LCD, or, god forbid, CRT, have you tried looking at your images? Have you tried printing your images? Para asa man imong shots, ads or personal use? Unsay settings nimo sa cam?

I suggest you stick to Canon na lang kay mao man imong naandan. No point in switching systems for subjective reasons.

I also do not own canon slr but used many both nikon and canon slrs and here's my comparison

#1 rason nganu nag Nikon ko is price! baratu, pag sugod nako medjo tight gud ko sa budget.. had to work for 2 years to get my first camera at that time dako2x gud.. a quick comparison(today) sa 60D ug D7000 Nikon is still cheaper, despite the "price increase" tunog sa baha sa Thailand

#2 Nikon are built like tanks, during the "old" days ang selling point sa Canon kay ang ilang service center... pero daghan pud ko na balita wai ayo.. even now complain ra man daghan ako na dunog.. so far wa man ko na balita pa kaayo anything major sa recently opened service center sa Nikon... hinu.on my cams is already 4 years olds and still works as good as the day I first turned it on and pressed that shutter.

#3 lens, bisan dili top of the line can produce very good pictures, Canon L lens are the best for canon units.. (aside from prime), klaru ra gud kaayo ang difference. If it's not L or prime... nevermind.. Nikon's case.. The lens is expensive pero ang quality is superb!

note: what I like sa Canon is ang ilang choices of lens, for example di ka maka afford ug 70-200mm f/2.8L IS you have the option of 70-200mm f/2.8 non-IS, 70-200mm f/4 IS or the 70-200mm f/4 non-IS.. unless you go for gold this will become more expensive in the long run...

#4 flash, mas accurate and Nikon, Canon tends to overexpose, I don't know if ni improve nah ang canon karon.. sa unta pa ni amo na test.. then there's CLS, Canon has and it's good but a bit short from Nikon...

#5 color, for skin tones vs Nikon.. better ang canon, sa nikon you have to use custom wb para ma okay pero the fuji s5 the best! which takes Nikon lens , pero for overall Nikon has more richer colour for all around use..

#6 LCD! older Canon LCD is crapp naai color cast (example: 40D is bluish and 5D is reddish), sometimes turn off kaayo nah sa mga client (if you do these kind of stuff) sa Nikon what you see is what you get.. happy ang client(dako chance nah you are pre-booked in their head or i.refer) and you don't need to do much sa post work (which means more profit). if ang LCD rah nindot sa Nikon.... nganu gi copya man sa mga newer models sa Canon karon?

    ----------

nag think ka mo shift ug Nikon pasabot ana nag duha2x ka sa Canon... you tried the rest.. now try the best.. if di mo work.. then photography is not for you.. "Better cameras only make it easier for you to produce results. They don't make photos any different from the camera you already own. " - Ken Rockwell

I don't own a Nikon but I'd like to opine that the expectation that the image displayed on DSLR's LCD would be displayed similarly on a PC monitor is unrealistic. I shoot RAW most of the time and while commercial photo editing tools can read in the DSLR's 'profile' so they can closely match what we see in the LCD, I don't use such a feature. Photography for me is an image creation activity on and off camera (unless I'm a journalist where realism outweighs artistic license). I tweak the photo until it looks good to me. Of course, if one is a pro, the photo is tweaked until it looks good to the client.

I was able to use a Nikon and I was attracted to the rich color it produces (as mentioned by bai P-chan). But I really don't want to own two systems and would rather spend my money and time on good lenses and honing my skills whenever I can, respectively.
