Pag abot sa mga Kastila nakit-an na nila na daghan influence ang mga natives. But I never heard of the Mongolian story, as far as I know Mongols are not seafarers they failed in invading Japan terribly because of the sea factor.

Whether it was the Hindu kingdoms, the Arabs, the Chinese you have to have documentations, and the Europeans understood how that worked. All else is left to be either discovered or are lost.
