Whats wrong with that? They're both the main characters of their series, so it'll be interesting to see who is better.

Luffy vs Sasuke wouldnt work, as there is not enough info on Sasuke and also the fact that they have nothing in common, makes it for a less interesting match-up.

Especially since Luffy is booking speeds faster than sound, while Naruto isnt even close to Mach 1.

-rubber body
-whacky ideas on how to use it
-Gear ability with very limited capabilities
-and....guts hahaha (w/c most protagonists of manga/anime running thru their veins)
-and oh, a 300,000,000 benny bounty on his head. lol

so what hurts rubber more? piercing things and what better way than claw your way too it. speed of sound?
better fighter? compared to what naruto could do in the latest season? I dont think so too

-Rasengan/RasenShuriken
-Kage Bunshin
-Kunai/shuriken

what Naruto doesnt have that Luffy has:
-Speed(Luffy wihtout Gears is sound speed, Gear 2 Luffy is faster)
-Insane durability
-Better fighting skills
-Strength(Gear 3 can give him strength to break thick metal doors)
-Creativity/whacky ideas

If Naruto can tag Luffy, though even if he can or somehow found a way to catch Luffy(doubt it), Naruto isnt strong enough to stab through Luffy's skin. Yeah he's rubber, but very hard rubber. Luffy took Rankyaku from Kaku and Kalifa but all he received were superficial wounds. And Rankyaku is strong enough to slice a building in half.

RasenShuriken wouldnt damage Luffy that much, Kakuzu didnt have any deep cuts after receiving RasenShuriken, and there were still fragments of one of his mask left. All Luffy would get would be light cuts, which is nothing to what he has endured over the course of his expedition.

However, if Naruto goes Kyuubi, the only Kyuubi level that would beat Luffy is KN4. KN3 and below were pretty much the same(though different in power levels) and Sasuke beat KN1.

So without the Kyuubi forms(especially KN4), Naruto aint winning. Naruto can create 200 clones and Luffy will just Jet Gatling them to oblivion.

there are other ways to use the rasengan, and a teeny part of it includes damaging the enemy
