Last Saturday, April 14, 2012 I photographed the Aliwan Fiesta in Pasay and Manila Cities. These photos were taken from 1:58PM to 6:08PM.

The Aliwan Fiesta is the national competition for Philippine fiesta street dancing. All the towns, cities and provinces send their best dance troupe to vie for the one million peso (US$23,500) grand prize.

Negative space in the first image below could be used to insert the "Aliwan Fiesta" logo.

For a time I was wondering whether buying the fisheye zoom was a mistake. During Aliwan I am glad it validated my decision.

In a well lit very colorful crowd the lens is a gem!
