As i have notice, some or maybe most of the threads here in Politics and Current Events are mostly bad reaction or negative comments about our government....
but with all your negative comments about our president or maybe your bad impression about her governance....you cannot change the status of our country but rather make it worst.....soooooooo!!!!!,

WHY give her some suggestions that would make her government a good one..and make our country move on...

You can post any kind of suggestions that would make our economy more stable..........!!!!!!!!!!
I am not saying that we are all economist here but I only ask your suggestions or opinions.....

It's very useless to say "we must start with ourselves" or "all of us are to be blamed.." etc.. etc.. etc.. How can we all address that to 86 million people?

What we need is a very strong leader who has all the political power to:

1.) Fully and strictly enact the Death Penalty
2.) Fully and strictly enact population control
3.) Fully and strictly enact necessary laws and reforms without being intimidated by so-called accusations of defacto martial law and other brainless accusations
4.) Fully and strictly enact a boundary between the church and state... this can be achieved by implementing nos. 1 and 2 above...

    OT:
while i agree with the suggestions, i do not agree that it is useless to say that "we must start with ourselves", we all know that there are certain laws that need to be followed. Let's take a petty rule such as littering, we all know that it is against the law to litter, throw trash just about anywhere we feel like it but most of us do it anyway. Which is why most of our rivers are polluted, this is also the reason why we cannot swim in our beloved beaches without having to see a piece of plastic or a can of beer floating about. Do we have to wait for the police or any law enforcing body to tell us that it is illegal to litter? or do we discipline ourselves to follow what seems to be a petty rule?

Now imagine this basic law being broken at least a hundred times in an hour, do you become one of them? or do you start with yourself and tell your friends not to litter? The point in all this is that we cannot keep relying on the government and law enforcement agencies to tell us what is to be done and what is not to be done. We must start disciplining ourselves to follow even the pettiest of laws. The laws are there, the laws are being implemented but it is our attitude that needs to be changed.

We must start with ourselves before we even start thinking about changing the country. Yes, we cannot address 86 million people but we can at least address one of them.

    @arnoldsa:

If I may add or subtract.

    1.) With no favoritism.
2.) How? Ang ako ra ani... is educate the people into responsible parenting... Kay dili man ta kapugos kong magpatuyong na sila og pasanay.
3.) Yep implement reforms for the country, not reforms to para pahumot sa PR of a candidate.
4.) Pero kinahanglan ang mga politiko dili mag pa santos2x. And always using the word of God para ipakita nga tarong sila.

I agree with pnoize2k4... let's start with ourselves... pag baton og disiplina sa imong kaugalingon.

I think in some ways this is good but I don't think it is what we need right now...
What we need maybe in my own idea is our being filipino as ONE with all our hearts and mind...Forgetting the hatred, crab mentallity, personal interests and etc. but instead thinking of what is good for our country or to our society...

    my suggestions:

    1. yes to political maturity. no to political mudslinging.
    2. support microfinance program and other livelihood projects of the government by encouraging our family members, friends, relatives and other acquiantances to try availing of non-collateral loans for starting their own business or avail loans for expansion of their business.
    3. support price watch monitoring. we can either volunteer to be part of the team or report stalls that are violating the standard pricing of basic goods.
    4. get a job. click on www.mb.com.ph/MTTN2005072239956
    5. patronize our own products and promote it. those who are making a business out of it should try graduating itself not only offering it locally but also exporting it abroad. they can do this by availing loans from GFIs supporting microfinance programs
    6. OFWs can also help by forming a cooperative to some sort, investing their money to a bank in the Philippines offering microfinance lending program.
