Default Question about RAM and Motherboards

if DDR3 RAM ang kailangan sa imong mobo bah, compatible jud na siya sa tanan DDR3 RAM? or mo matter pa na iyang chipset, processor, ug unsa pa nang mga chuva diha?

    example scenario:
an ASUS P7H55-M LX Motherboard with 2x2GB Kingston Value RAM, e upgrade nako ang RAM to, let's say, Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3 RAM. Pwede?

    pa tabang ko mga master.

For Lynnfield, only i7-8xx natively supports ddr3-1600 without having to OC. If your proc is not 8xx, no need to worry kay modownclock man na @ SPD of 1333..

Edit: basin maglibog na kag samot sa post nako.. 2x4gb is ok for your board, be it 1600 or 1333

    More Q about RAM

Parts sold in kits are specifically packaged for use in Dual or Triple Channel motherboards. Although Dual and Triple Channel technology resides on the motherboard itself (inside the chipset), the memory modules need to be installed in pairs or sets of three for Dual or Triple Channel mode to function properly. Identical modules packaged in a kit work best because the motherboard will be accessing all the memory modules as a single memory location with a wider bandwidth. Kingston suggests the use of modules sold in kits for Dual or Triple Channel enabled motherboards.

Is it okay to use a single RAM stick (ex: 4gb single stick) on a dual channel motherboard?

is it okay to use a single RAM stick of a (dual) Kit, and use the other pair on another pc?

Is it okay to use 2 single RAM sticks (not a kit) for a dual channel motherboard?

RAM usually have a life time warranty, but computer stores only give 1 year, where to return bad RAM's after a year past?

    Thanks for the reply

Q1 & 2: were for the confusion brought by "specifically packaged for use in dual or..."

Q3: was for Kingston Genesis where only single sticks are available in pcx.

A4: means distributor? I googled Kingston's distributor in Cebu:

    LAMCO International
Lot 3F Mandaue North Central Cabancalan,
    Mandaue City
    Tel Nos.: (+6332) 3453047/ 48 / 51

It's good to know it's there
